This piece was inspired by the card WHO IS WATCHING THE COSMIC DRAMA? from the excellent oracle deck Morgan's Tarot, one of my favorite decks to read with. Click around some of the cards on that site if you get a chance, it's very fun.
The stagelights are made from very thin rice paper and the curtains are polyster fabric.
